“After a long career at the Ministry of Defence, I decided that it was time to take control of my future with my own business.
A number of years ago a colleague and friend introduced me to the work opportunities in the domestic market. I gradually built up a portfolio of clients who I could continue to help on a long-term basis. As my network grew, I began to receive referrals to help business owners achieve the same outcomes in the commercial market.
I spent around twelve months investigating the suppliers and understanding the needs of this particular client group, deciding which energy and service suppliers I could confidently work alongside. During my time talking to business owners, I heard too many stories of poor customer service and miss selling, realising that the industry was surrounded by an overall feeling of mistrust on the behalf of the consumer.
